Two projects completed during my second teaching placement, in Loreto College Mullingar.
Calligraphy and Poster Design
5th Year
AIM: To create an A3 poster based on imagery from a selected studied poem, encompassing calligraphy and mixed media.
Main Learning Intentions

To draw inspiration from studies poetry to influence their work

To research and draw inspiration from a number of artists

Convey an understanding of emotion through drawing

Experiment and trial different calligraphy fonts

Learning Outcomes

Cubist Portraiture
Second Year
AIM; To create a cubist inspired self portrait, exploring within this the process of photography, paint and drawing.
Main Learning Intentions

Research and draw influence from a range of cubist artists

Experiment with photographing peers from multiple perspectives

Experience colour mixing and the study of colour psychology

Differentiate between organic and geometric shapes, and blend these together in final portraits
Learning Outcomes
